Delfes from the Shirakami Land server has developed a fun little Fubuki mascot that occupies the Windows desktop and mess with application windows, if permission is granted. The program powering the mascot, Shimeji-ee, is open-source and can be redistributed as long as the proper disclaimers are provided with the download.
It would be a good idea to develop a new page to host this community app, with summary, installation instructions, and to make the file for download. Mainly these sections:
- What is the Fubuki Desktop Mascot
- Demonstration using GIFs
- Download link with licensing and disclaimers
- Installation Instructions
The download can be through a direct request to S3 or Azure storage, a Github repo, or any file sharing service. For future planning, if we are to host more files I think it would be beneficial to have a standalone cloud storage backend. The bandwidth cost will be manageable either way.
