Browser Compatibility Issue: Command Prompt not issuing commands

Steps to Reproduce:-

1. Open web application in Mozilla Firefox.
2. Enter a command in the command prompt.
3. Press Enter to issue command.

Expected Behavior:-

Command should have been issued and changes reflected on UI. Command Prompt should have become empty.

Actual Behavior:-

Command is not issued. Command Prompt doesn't clear.

One probable cause is that Mozilla Firefox does not recognize the window.event global object. This error is thrown at console in Firebug.
