MeshForms may be lying about successfully saving join records

I just tested submitting a join record in gamma that gave me the 2-3 days message, but then I went and checked datadog and it said saving the record failed. This is bad. We should definitely return an error to members when we did not save anything.

I cannot repro this locally. It might be some quirk with gamma1.
