Would you consider adding C/C++ support

I am a C/C++ developer and I need to use function view to navigate my code easily, but the CodeMap plugin doesn't support it at the moment.

Indeed at the moment, there is no C++ mapper out of the box.
There is though a mapper for Arduino syntax, which is a special flavour of C++. You can instruct CodeMap to use this mapper by adding this redirection to the VSCode settings.json file:

"codemap.cpp": "config:codemap.ino",

It works well for Arduino. I created it for my personal project but did not invest too much into it. But it might be just fine for you. Give it a try.

However, if you are keen to have a more sophisticated mapper then you can easily extend arduino mapper with extra logic for detecting the function signatures with extra regular expressions.

If you want to do that then instead of redirection you and define the mapping section in the settings.json file:

The code above is a copy of the codemap.ino mapper. You can make the pattern "smarter". You can also have multiple patterns to detect different types of function signatures. You can always use online tester to test your regex patter against specific signature(s).
