After clicking "Install new WSL Gateway", the setup window became unresponsive for several minutes. This seems to suggest that work is being done on the UI thread and blocking it from updating. I would instead expect installing the gateway to be done in a background thread, with a progress ring/bar to indicate that the application is waiting for the work to complete in order to move on.
