No database selected

if I enable the var_dump($sql);
this is the error I get even if my connections to the DB are working well (No database selected).

I'm new to php and there is not much more that i can add, besides the fact that the grid never shows. It just says loading. I have followed all your YouTube tutorials but still have not been able to fix it. Do you think you have a little time to help me out with this problem?

Make sure you have

mysql_connect("localhost","user","password");
mysql_select_db("your db name");

in your ajax.php file that the grid calls.

Looks like your <table is asking for a column patient_info that does not exist in your database. Might need to check that there.

this is how my ajax.php looks like. The "patient_info" that is the name of the table that I want to load the data from.

if I change "patient_info" fpr the name of a column field then i get an error that says 'alftooldb.newname' does not exist.
