Notebooks are actually a great idea, but they won't be easy to implement. Although the roadmap is currently empty, that's because we're focused on addressing the feedback coming from TestFlight. That being said, notebooks could tie into the ideas proposed in issue #336, which includes implementing an alternative layout for the homepage and giving users the option to switch between a classic layout and a column based one. |

I’ve been working on this feature on and off for about four days. It’s still rough around the edges in the ui department, but it works like a charm. The next step is integrating it with sync and porting it to the mobile app, which will be quite a challenge. Anyhow, here’s a little sneak peek at the feature: Screen.Recording.2025-07-31.at.11.24.31.AM.mov |

Having a notebooks feature that allows you to sort notes would be great to keep for example work and personal notes separate.
Auto Sorting
You could also add some if else logic where it automatically sorts your notes based on which tags you use.
Eg. Tags like Meetings, Follow Up, etc could go to work notebook automatically.
Customisation
Adding some custom symbols and colours to customise the notebook appearance could be another great QOL feature. Like a briefcase for work, heart for personal, pen for creative writing etc.
Notebook Locking / Private notebook
Some notes might be too personal and you would like to lock them all into one book. Private notebooks could make both locking and unlocking notes way easier. Since you don't have to unlock multiple notes just one notebook.
