Syncing macOS with Android versions missing embeds #412

Just got Beaver Notes installed on my Mac and loving it. Importing from my Apple Notes backup (from prior to when I switched to Obsidian) went extremely well compared to the mess that trying to import from Obsidian was. Obsidian is just overkill for what I need and I'd prefer FOSS. Now that I've got things situated and organized I wanted to install the Pocket version on Android and get things synced. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here, I found a bug, or embeds haven't been implemented in sync or Pocket yet? Using SyncThing to keep things up to date on both my Mac and Pixel 10. I got the notes brought into the Pocket version, however every note is missing embeds. The notes on my Mac all have their embeds. What I'm noticing is the sync folder is only about 170MB. However the backup that I did once I got things situated is 1.8GB (lots of attachments and scanned documents from Apple Notes). |

Thanks so much for reporting this. We’re currently going through a pretty big transition as we move Beaver from Electron to Tauri. As part of this change, we’ll be discontinuing the current mobile app and moving toward a unified experience, where Beaver Notes will be the single app across all platforms. Version 5.0.0 (coming soon as a beta) should address the issues you mentioned and make the migration process to Beaver much smoother and more reliable. I’ll also share a blog post with more details once it’s ready, after we release version 4.4.0 with a few bug fixes. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, we know transitions like this aren’t always easy, but this is a one-time platform shift that will set things up much better going forward. |
