Hi,
I have some doubt about PREEMPT_RT

1. How to enable in meta-tegra
2. What are the steps required to follow
3. what is the difference of do-flash and initrd-flash?
4. whether initrd-flash will flash boot loader (mb1 and mb2)?

For items 1 and 2, I don't think we have specific documentation around this for the kernel that comes with L4T R36.x, but based on the Linux_for_Tegra/source/generic_rt_build.sh script that comes in the L4T R36.x BSP, it should just be a matter of some kernel configuration settings.

PREEMPT_RT shouldn't have any effect on items 3 and 4. For item 3, there's information here. For item 4, yes, it does, unless you explicitly tell it not to.

I think the Canonical/NVIDIA kernel already has all necessary patches applied, and it's just a matter of adjusting the kernel configuration.

Okay fine and how to enable encryption support for rootfs and UDA partition?
Any reference available?

Unless you're asking about how that relates to PREEMPT_RT support (and AFAIK, there is no relation), I suggest looking at the other discussions on LUKS, disk encryption, etc. here for pointers. Let's try to keep discussions focused on one topic at a time.
