Hi everyone,

We’re opening up development of an open-source GNAP (Grant Negotiation and Authorization Protocol, RFC 9635/9767) server. The goal is to provide a reference implementation of GNAP that developers, researchers, and companies can use to experiment, integrate, and contribute.

What’s included now

• Core GNAP server implementation (AS + RS examples)
• SDKs and CLI for quick testing
• Quickstart deployments (Docker/Compose, Helm)
• Early integrations: Postgres/Redis storage, OpenFGA adapter, OIDC login

Where we’re headed

• Expand integrations (gateways, IdPs, payment systems, etc.)
• Improve developer experience (tutorials, recipes, docs)
• Foster a community of contributors around standards-based authorization

How you can get involved
