Hey, thanks for reaching out. Since this has been requested now already several times, I decided to implement a toggle that can enable/disable the in-page editing UI, essentially allowing a user to switch between in-page editing and pure page preview with a single click. It will be included in the next beta release. |

Hi,
I just discovered Automad and it's awesome, keep up the good work! And please add Croatian language (since there are already Slovenian, Bosnian, and Serbian, which are all very similar languages).
Back to the idea:
I was looking for a way to preview a page (like you can in Kirby), but there's isn't a simple preview option. At first, I thought the "eye" icon (next to "More") in the dashboard would trigger a preview, but it doesn’t do anything — it just competes for attention with the "chevron-down" icon next to "More" — so it can be confusing for a user. I guess I'm not the only one trying to click the "eye" icon.
Currently, the only way to preview the page you're working on is by using "In-Page Edit Mode", but that is actually an editing mode rather than a preview. I suggest you use that "eye" icon to make a simple page preview, where user can quickly see and evaluate the work without any distractions (like blue outlines that appear on mouse hover in "In-Page Edit Mode") which I think is very important.
Please check out the attached image. Thanks!
