I hadn't used the earlier version of Automad, but I did use the Automad 2 alpha to migrate a really simple blog site (that was created with Hugo) over to a new platform. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and also how easy it was to setup, configure, and get started. I don't have web development experience, just hobbyist level stuff. I found the reusable components to be particularly useful, for dropping in elements across multiple pages, but only needing to make edits to that element in one place. The ability to add some custom css broadly or at the page level was really handy for making a few small adjustments as well, without having to know how to edit an entire theme/css. I'm looking forward to the full release |
