Ord 0.24.0 is not recommended to be used. It was quickly followed by 0.24.1 and 0.24.2, both of which fixed issues with the 0.24.0 release. 0.24.1 bumped the index.redb database schema number, which 0.24.0 should have done but didn't.

Probably best to replace 0.24.0 with 0.24.2, with this commit:

Thank you for your note. It is a welcome change from the lack of discussion that the traditional avenues seem willing to offer at the moment.

I briefly reviewed your suggestion, and from what I can tell it looks more like a housekeeping or operational change that will not impact the classification rules used to derive the NMU list.

The issue is that ord 0.24.0 won't work with the index file generated by any other version. It has the same database schema version number as 0.23.x but uses an incompatible redb version, and has a different database schema version than 0.24.1 and later.

In a sense it is the worst version you could have chosen if you want consensus on the snapshot, since nobody is running it.

It doesn't change the rules relative to the other 0.24.x releases, but is quite flawed, leading to casey tweeting "Please do not ask about 0.24.0 or 0.24.1":
