Data consumption via xDrip

I have 780G with Guardian 4 and wonder how to connect the readings directly to the xDrip+. I have a phone that is not supported and I do mind changing for old crap. I am wondering if it would be possible to receive data from the pump straight into the xDrip app (android).

Hi! Sadly, currently it is not possible. Medtronic implemented cryptographic protection on their communication, and the protocol is still not fully understood. Once we have figured it out, we would need to implement it. After that, there would be a possibility to perform this.

Maybe stupid question, but have you tried to decode that with AI?

(It's not my programming language), but yesterday I tried to overcome the Metronic Minimed Android app to bypass the device check and now, they moved the verification to the server, so current version was not possible to overcome. I went back to the version (2.2.1) that had it on the client side. The Windsurf IDE easily decoded and modified the device check. I think if the code is there, that might work.

Sadly, it is not possible with AI. We need to decompile and reverse engineer the crypto library. It requires significant knowledge.

Hi, it is not possible. I don't know though if that would be really a goal for us. We would need to extract the firmware of either the pump or the sensor, understand it and extract the key database between those devices. Using a counterfeit sensor with Medtronic's system would certainly make them angry and would come after us (with lawyers for sure). Also, it would be quite unsafe, since it can directly influence the insulin dosage. So this feature would be quite irresponsible from every angle.
