FR: Support multiple koreader users

Thanks for making this great tool for koreader. I would like to ask if it is possible to host the data from different koreader users/profiles. For example, I may want to run koreader on another family member's device and that device will have totally different set of books and stats. I know I can run another koshelf instance for it but I am trying to avoid that. So kindly let me know if you will consider adding this feature. Thanks.

Glad you like KoShelf unfortunately I think that would make KoShelf quite a lot more complicated for a niche use. In your case I would advise using KoShelf as it was originally intended a static site generator and use nginx to serve the page. So you could write a script that runs KoShelf for each user on an interval or start two in watch mode that output into your webserver dir.

What was your wish a way to have a single page where one can select the user?

One is to avoid running more than one instances. Second that make it possible to share annotations between users or external services such as hardcover.app. Just a thought :)

Basically, I picture something KoInsight is doing now in terms of user support and cloud sync, etc. But since that project doesn't support annotations while yours does, I figure I would ask you about it.

My partner and me each have our own Kindle devices with KOReader installed. Sometimes we read the same books, and other times we read different ones. We want to have a shared webpage where we can check what good books the other person has been reading recently, and view each other’s favorite highlights and notes.
In particular, when both of us are reading the same book but have highlighted different passages, it would be extremely convenient to be able to view all highlights together on a single page

Unfortunately I think this would be quite complex so for now its not something I want to add to the rodemap. That might change though at some point.
