Description
The final un-tacked side of this project includes reading and controlling the Smart Trainers directly in python rather than through Simulant. This could be done through Python and ANT+, or Python and BTLE, or something different like a socket to a MATLAB script. Either way, this is the last major function required.
Major Tasklist/Checkpoints
- Connect and communicate with ANT USB stick with python
- Define messages and capabilities needed for smart trainer setup and communication
- Connect requriements to communication methods with ANT stick (source, msg type, contents) based on ANT standards
- Construct/verify required message types in libAnt library
- Develop startup, channel configuration and connection procedure with trainer
- Develop independent continuous reading procedure
- Integrate tx control messages into reading procedure - Asynchronous Sending channel from local node to continuous scan on trainer
- Integrate control method into auto test procedure
- Integrate functions of control method into a Qt Widget
- Implement QtWidget into Main Program
