I have written a small library for clients in PHP that could be used anywhere, and should not present any problem with Codeigniter, but it seems I have forgotten to push it online... Furthermore I forgot to include database structure with the project (centralAuth is using MySQL to store credentials)

Unfortunately I will be unable to access to these files before Saturday, so if you don't mind I will give you all that and will try to write a getting started guide next weekend...

Do not hesitate to reports problems / suggest improvments / ask for help if you need it !

Thank you for replying. I have managed to tested your application. The steps, database structure to store credentials, PHP library (Client) are there in your repository.

Just that I need help for the following:

1. I am not sure how to fit your application into existing Codeigniter application (One as CentralAuth and the other one as client). My existing application has its own user roles and user database and also with its own session. Hope you can guide to achieve the above and also to having one sample client built in Codeigniter if it is not too much to ask.

In fact it seems that I forgot that I have already pushed everything online... (The client library is already online https://github.com/pierre42100/WEB-centralAuthClient ) and the database structure is already present inside the project (I forget things from time to time).

In order to connect centralAuth to your application it seems that you have several choices :

• I think that the easiest would be to automate the registration process of the users. If you have already encrypted the passwords of your users using password_hash you should not meet too much difficulties with dumping your users database and import it into the centralAuth database. However this implies that you will not add new users to your database
• Otherwise you could also ask your users to link their account on your application with centralAuth by giving them a link your application such as "Link with a centralAuth Account". The client library will allow you the save then the ID of your users from the centralAuth system into your own users database and your users will be able then to sign into your application using centralAuth instead of your own login system.
• I have thought of another option : you could first apply the first option for existing users and then when a user is added to your database an admin API of centralAuth (which does not exists yet) could be called to automatically add the user into the centralAuth system... This API method would return the ID of the newly created users...

If you need me to add new features to centralAuth such as adding users from the command line or adding account settings options or if you have any question or did not understand what I just said do not hesitate to ask me.
