Thanks for pointing this out! I will update the docs.

This checkbox was requested by a user long before the Workflow Data feature existed. It is largely unnecessary now, because you can easily share data between all nodes in a workflow.

But I will update the docs to explain what this is, and mark it as legacy. Thanks!
