Packages for Kurento 6.7.1 Stable/Production

Thank you for all your work to get KMS running on enterprise Linux.

Do you plan to work on packages for 6.7.1? If so, would you please tell me (1) when they might be available and (2) if you anticipate they will be based on the stable/release code entirely, or if development code could be mixed in?

I may be able to contribute to your efforts somehow, but I'm not experienced with native development on Linux. My background is primarily Java, web and .NET development. Happy to discuss possibilities.

New rpm packages should be available in the repository within about 2 weeks.
Original plan is to compile kurento from the latest release code.
Are you looking into using some development code? If so, why?

Additional help is not necessary, as the build process is semi automated and requires only minor configuration changes. But thanks for offering!

Wow, thanks for the quick response! That's great news.

Release code is preferred. I had the impression (perhaps mistakenly) that your 6.6.3 packages mixed in some development code in order to get things working. For us to get IA approval for our Kurento-based solution, I believe we will likely need the stable/release code only.

FYI, we're doing audio-only and have two issues pushing us toward 6.7:

(1) Intermittent garbled audio. Found some discussion online indicating this has been resolved in 6.7.

(2) Can't get Chrome to play audio (but it transmits it fine). Firefox both plays and transmits fine. No idea if 6.7 will help, but my fingers are crossed. I found one thread which indicated things were fixed by switching to Ubuntu. I hope that won't be necessary, since I'm not sure it would be an option for us.
