Limit playable characters to only those you can water ritual with?

any way to limit who you will see the play option for?

I'd like the option to vastly limit the number of creatures i can play with. for example, only showing the play prompt for people you can water ritual with

it always felt pretty cluttered when i could walk up to anyone and any thing in the entire game universe and ask to play cards with them vs a somewhat unique experience i could have with a a select group of (but still widely available) characters

i'm trying to figure this out myself without much code experience, so any pointers or tips would be helpful as well. thanks

sorry for the delayed response, I haven't worked on these mods for a while. I don't plan on making this change to the mod directly - the original intent was to be able to play with anybody. I'm going through the code again later this week and I'll try to find exactly where you can change the code to limit the users.

try this:

in Conversations.cs: CanPlay() add a search query for the person to see if they can do a water ritual. It might take some digging to figure out how to do that. If The.Speaker does not have water ritual, then change the returned Reason to a new value.

Then in the EventHandler for IsElementVisibleEvent, check to see if the above reason is true. This will not render the conversation item to start a game.
