Currently, accident alerts are sent only to the registered user's email. In emergency situations, it would be helpful to notify a trusted contact as well.
Proposed Enhancement:
Allow users to add one or more emergency contacts during registration.
Store the contact details securely.
Send accident alerts to emergency contacts when a sensor is triggered.
Benefits:
Improves user safety.
Enables faster communication during emergencies.
Makes the Bike Security system more practical and reliable.
I would like to work on this issue as part of NSoC 2026. I have explored the authentication and alert system in the project and believe this feature aligns well with the application's purpose. I can implement emergency contact management and integrate it with the existing alert workflow.
