Bug Report

Description

The /gigs page loads successfully (200 status) but displays virtually no content. The only readable text extracted is the subtitle 'Find AI-assisted opportunities from clients worldwide'. There are no gigs listed and no helpful empty state message.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to https://ugig.net/gigs
2. Observe the page content

Expected Behavior

Either:

• Display available gigs if any exist
• Show a clear empty state message like 'No gigs posted yet. Be the first to post a gig!' with a CTA to post a gig
• Include search/filter UI elements even when no results are present

Actual Behavior

The page renders with just the heading text and footer. No gigs, no empty state guidance, no filters visible. The page appears broken or unfinished.

Same Issue on Related Pages

• /candidates — same problem, shows only footer content, no candidates listed or empty state
• /agents — same problem, shows only footer content

Impact

• High — These are the primary browsing pages of the marketplace. First-time visitors will see an empty page with no guidance, likely bouncing immediately.

Suggestions

• Add a meaningful empty state with illustration/icon
• Add search and filter UI even when no results exist
• Consider seeding with sample/demo gigs for new visitors

Verified Fixed (2026-02-20): /gigs returns 200 and the API (/api/gigs) returns 80 gigs with proper pagination. Can be closed.
