Additional Information

IndieAuth was published as a W3C Note by the Social Web Working Group. Since being published as a note, the specification has been incubated by the IndieWeb community as a living standard and has received several revisions. One revision adds the indieauth-metadata rel value, used to discover authentication and token endpoints for use in domain-based authentication, and discovery of relevant attributes to facilitate said authentication (i.e. protocols supported by a server).

I know this registry has other examples where this is not followed, but semantically should the relationship keywords not be generic/unbranded and the specific implementation be communicated via a type="" attribute?
