YapMe is a new platform enabling users to create, share, and discover visuals and music. Launching soon, and backed by multiple investors, we are actively working on new features based on feedback from our early beta-releases.
In order to iterate quickly on our iOS application (100% Objective-C, backed by a infrastructure hosted on the Google Cloud Platform), we are currently looking for our first full-time hire. If you have the experience of building iOS application with a solid and well-tested code-base, and want to join the "next big thing" in mobile, this role is for you.
You will work directly with our CTO, who owns a Ph.D. in CS and worked with the likes of Google and Cisco. You will also interact with the company co-founders, formerly at Facebook and Twitter, for the roadmap and requirements of the product. If you are the right person, you will also be able to growth as our Head or Mobile as we expand our mobile engineering team.
The position is based in our offices in the city centre of Dublin, Ireland, in a vibrant area close to various coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs. Compensation is based on experience, and rewarded with meaningful equity.
- Contribute to our roadmap and our technical architecture
- Implement new features based on feedback from our community
- Provide high-quality, full-tested, code
- Report directly to the company co-founders

- A very good knowledge of engineering fundamentals (algorithms, OOP, MVC architectures, unit-testing)
- Fluency in Objective-C, including awareness of the recent trends and APIs/SDKs
- A love for start-ups, mobile apps and innovation
- Fluency in English
- Bonus: Knowledge of Android development, and Python
- Bonus: Experience with AVFoundation, realm, and GPUImage
