Description
When we develop custom pricing models for niche markets, or are trying to privately analyze either the performance of our portfolio, we need to develop a system to visualize this data.
While there exist numerous external solutions, the best way to visualize private / custom data, is to build our own.
Proposed solution
There needs to be a graphical user interface, that takes in a time series dataset of stock prices and plots the values onto the screen / webpage like a candlestick chart. (Attached below).
There will also need to be a feature by which you will be able to plot other time series data in the same time frame, perhaps something like 200 SMA.
Alternatives considered
It is possible to bring in an external charting software, however, it diminishes the granular control that we have on our application. If it is possible to accomplish the same tasks with an external charting application, where we have control over the input data, such alternatives can also be explored
