Crashes when opening app (code: '-1073741819')

Please provide more details. Do you see a tray icon? What happens when you run Windhawk? Do you see an error message? Was it working before?

Also, are you using an antivirus? Have you tried disabling it to check if it's related?

I tried both the standard and portable install, as soon as it installs the winhawk ui appears and then I see an error. Please post a crash dump. You should be able to get it with the following steps:

• Open regedit
• Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting
• Create a key named LocalDumps
• Create a DWORD value named DumpType with value 2
• Trigger the crash
• Go to the %LocalAppData%\CrashDumps folder, you should see a dump file in there

This seems to be an issue in VSCodium.

Windhawk's UI uses VSCodium, specifically the version from here (portable):
https://github.com/VSCodium/vscodium/releases/download/1.74.2.22355/VSCodium-win32-ia32-1.74.2.22355.zip

You can try it and see if it works for you. If not, you can also check the latest version. If it doesn't work either, you can report it to the VSCode project.

Let me know which versions work for you.

My version is Windhawk v1.7.3
The issue is still happening but if I exit the program and reopen it, I can get to the ui after a few tries.

I'm glad that it works and there's a workaround.

I wasn't asking about the version of Windhawk. I was asking about the version of VSCodium, which Windhawk uses.

I was asking for you to try version 1.74.2.22355 (used by Windhawk v1.7.3):

And also the latest version:
https://github.com/VSCodium/vscodium/releases/download/1.107.18627/VSCodium-win32-x64-1.107.18627.zip

Download and extract each version, and check if you see the same error when running VSCodium.exe.
