I noticed that this repository doesn't currently have a CONTRIBUTING.md file.
As a new contributor, it isn't immediately clear how maintainers expect contributions to be made (branch naming, commit message conventions, development setup, testing, PR requirements, etc.).
Adding a contribution guide would make it much easier for new contributors to get started and help ensure that pull requests follow the project's expectations.
