Saving Entity Example / DB,JPA Support

The documentation contains an example for "Edit bean properties". But how can i save the entity in the database. Must i add some "Action Listener to the button"  or is this done automatically ?

Can i use out of the box a JPA Implementation or mus i config someone on my own ?
