Unable to make it work

I used this flawlessly for several years on Ubuntu 18.04 32 bit but since installing Ubuntu 20.04 64 bit I can't make it work. I'm sure it's an installation issue but I'm a user, not a programmer and I can't find any installation instructions anywhere. I've downloaded the zip package and unzipped it. Now what? When I try to use it I just get a "command not found" error. If I copy the contents of the "makefile" into a terminal, every single line generates the same error. I have no clue how to make this executable. No where on my computer is a file simply called "sunwait." Please help

You need to install gcc and make on you Ubuntu system.

Then you download the .tar.gz sunwait release archive, extract it and build sunwait like this:

tar xfv sunwait-0.9.1.tar.gz
cd sunwait-0.9.1
make

This creates the sunwait executable in your current working directoy.
You can execute it there or copy it to some well-known directory such as $HOME/bin, $HOME/local/bin, /usr/local/bin or similar.
