Please test the SMTP flow locally using a dummy SMTP server (e.g., MailHog / smtp4dev / Python’s DebuggingServer).
In the GitHub Action, please reference these secrets (they’ll be available on CI):
SMTP_HOST, SMTP_PORT, SMTP_USERNAME, SMTP_PASSWORD, SMTP_FROM_EMAIL.

Also, please add a small test_notification.py script so we can verify the notification logic.
I’ll run the final test on GitHub Actions with real secrets.

Thanks for assigning this issue.
I’ll set up a dummy SMTP server locally (using MailHog/smtp4dev) and test the SMTP flow. Then I’ll add a test_notification.py script to verify the notification logic and update the GitHub Action to reference the required secrets (SMTP_HOST, SMTP_PORT, SMTP_USERNAME, SMTP_PASSWORD, SMTP_FROM_EMAIL).
I’ll share progress soon.
