👋 LanGuard v1.0.0 is here.
LanGuard is a tiny, free, open-source (MIT) macOS menu-bar app that turns Wi-Fi off when a wired Ethernet link goes up, and back on when you unplug.
Install
macOS 14+ (Sonoma). It's ad-hoc signed (not notarized), so on first launch: right-click
/Applications/LanGuard.app→ Open, or run oncexattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/LanGuard.app".What makes it less annoying than a naive toggle
Honest status
Brand new, very few stars, ad-hoc signed. Kick the tires before trusting it with your network, and please file issues.
Feedback, bugs, and PRs welcome — drop a comment. 🙏
