use /etc/hosts instead of dns server on mower ?

Hi,

Thanks to custom firmware, it is possible to ssh on the mower.

So why not just edit the /etc/hosts?

Add :

192.168.y.z mqtt.lfibot.com
192.168.y.z app.lfibot.com

where 192.168.y.z is OpenNova server IP.

=> Yes, the only drawback is that you need a custom firmware and the stock app will not work. But is it mandatory ? OpenNova can easily replace it thanks to Ramon's works!

You first need the dns redirect enabled to get the firmware loaded I suppose?
I beleive Ramon told that with bluetooth you would be able to have the mower not going to mqtt.lfibot.com or app.lfibot.com but to your own server directly.... No need for DNS redirect. But then you need a special programmed bluetooth device.
