What I'd love to see in a future release is the support for parakeet. Currently I use parakeet V2/V3 in a little speech to text app called "handy". What blows me away is the speed and accuracy of the text recognition compared to the somewhat dated whisper models, that stem from a time where openai still cared about that "open" part. On a M4 Macbook my text input is instantly transcribed and even on older hardware the recognition is incredibly fast..
Maybe you can experiment a bit with parakeet and see if nightingale can profit from it.
