Issue Description

Hi!! First of all, excuse my english language.

Doesn’t save the positions of arranged icons.

I tried to save a profile and load it, but nothing.

Sorry... I think you miss information :-D

I'm on MacBook Pro m4 Tahoe 26.3.1

If I close the app, and reopen, the icons are arranged but two or three seconds later, all icons (except control center and time) goes inside Sanebar. I hope you understand me...

Thanks. I tracked this down.

In 2.1.26, profiles were only restoring SaneBar settings, not the actual menu bar layout state. That is why load profile looks like it does nothing, and it also explains why arrangements can briefly look right and then collapse back into the live hide pass.

I’ve updated that behavior for the next build. I expect that to address this, but I want to confirm it with you once it’s out.

Also: if part of what you are seeing is the normal delayed auto-hide behavior after launch, you can turn that off in SaneBar settings.

That startup hide pass is separate from the profile/layout bug, which I’m already tracking here.

Nope. It's not auto hide. Its that icons in visible section, comes back to hidden in a few seconds.

I see that other people are writing other issues that its the same that happens here... :-D

Thanks for the follow-up.

SaneBar 2.1.28 is out now. I improved the startup recovery path so icon positions are less likely to briefly look right and then collapse back into the wrong layout a few seconds later.

Please update and let me know if it’s behaving better now.

If it still happens, send me an in-app bug report right after it does so I can compare it against the earlier diagnostics.

This is still the same startup and layout recovery family, not a separate new bug.\n\nI tracked down a restore-path problem around saved positions after display and profile changes, and I have that green locally now.
