IOS 27 - unwanted lock requests

I know it’s just a beta so I’m not expecting this resolved but just wanted to let you know if it’s something you want to tackle before release, I get a lot of aberrant lock requests happening without me clicking anything (sometimes I wake up and it sent 4 lock requests to my car while I was sleeping)

That's really odd, I've never experienced that. Some questions:

1. Are you certain these requests are coming from BetterBlue?
2. Can you enable debug mode in the app, then send over the contents of Export Debug Data?
3. Are you using widgets and/or shortcuts?

Great. Now that you have debug mode on, you should be able to see HTTP logs for every request the app makes. When you see these unwanted lock requests, go to account settings -> http logs and look for a send command log. If you share that log with me, I can take a closer look at where it is coming from.

they appear to happen in the morning the most?

None of those logs are locking the car -- those are for fetching vehicle status. I see the hourly fetches for the widget, then you opened the app at 8:39AM.

If you tap the "Actions" button on that page, you can filter for "Send Command" requests -- those would be the requests that actually trigger a lock.

Ok so that’s interesting. When I filter I only see the commands that I sent, but my notifications are showing 10 lock requests this morning

Hmm, very strange. I think it would be helpful to see the filtered list of logs, and also see the expanded notifications from BetterBlue

Sorry the expanded list is gone; it was all “sent lock command to my car” here is the filtered list from when I drove my car yesterday

Thanks. I think the key thing here is seeing the timestamps on the notifications, then comparing and checking the http logs in the app around those times.

Some other questions:

1. Was this happening on iOS 26?
2. Is the car actually being locked when the requests are sent, or is it just a notification?

1. this wasn't happening on iOS 26, and I know Im in beta so I expect some quirks but I just wanted to give you a heads up.
2. I dont believe the car is actually being locked, but they are all lock requests and it's already locked so Im not sure if it would do anything
