Is there any way to set default language?

Is there any way to set the default language both for the words list and the interface itself?

Many use English as their browser language but there are cases for example while playing with RTL languages that user might prefer using another language than English for Scribblers.
So I think it would be great if there was a config on deployment to set a default language, and allow users to change it somewhere in the main page and store it on Localstorage.

I had an idea to implement storage of most if not all lobby settings in local storage. I play a lot with my family and have to keep changing the same settings every time I create a lobby.

It is possible to pre-set some of the settings via environment variables but that of course requires a re-deploy to update (need to prefix the env vars names shown below with LOBBY_SETTING_DEFAULTS_)

Like DeepSpace mentioned, you can change some settings on startup. I need to update the documentation!

You can't save client side settings. Remembering the settings would be easy though, via local storage.

As for the page language, this is currently done via browser settings, as you mentioned and uses the Acceot-Language header. We could potentially allow an override via a cookie here. We'd have to add some kind of page settings then. I'd need to think about where this could fit. Maybe in the footer on the homepage.

I know you are busy with other tasks scheduled for v1.0.0. Unfortunately, I'm not a Go developer otherwise I would contribute more myself for sure. I might be able to get some help from AI for that part. So please let me know if I should take a look myself.

Hey was working on other things between work and leisure time and just got done merging the other PRs ... I will try doing this next weekend.

I think I'll make a small gear icon in the footer that shows some kind of simple popup where you can set some technical settings and debug stuff.
