Show environment type in Site Editor / Fullscreen Block Editor

When using the Site Editor or fullscreen block editor, the environment type is not visible since it's in the "classic admin" admin bar. In the current project I'm working on, I'm really missing it!

I don't have any immediate perfect ideas for how and where to display it since there isn't an equivalent global bar. My current best idea is to do something that extends or decorates the site logo in the top left corner:

Nice! Way better than my idea :)

Looks like there's some alignment funny business, at least in Firefox. Adding line-height:1 to .det-icon makes it better but still not perfect. Adding the dashicons class to that span makes it better (though the button itself still has an alignment issue.

You are absolutely right ... Fortunately its not crucial - and it is fixed now - 10x!

for the alignment - will re-check - i am using FF as primary for years :) but not a fan of gutenberg (it looks like i am not a fan of anything starting with G :)

OK - can you try the following:
for .det-editor-indicator .det-icon::before { add vertical-align: bottom;
it looks ok in every browser ive checked, but i am not a designer myself ...

I'm mostly in Firefox too!

vertical-align:bottom gets you to this:

The text label still looks too low to me but it seems to be largely down to the font's vertical alignment. That also seems to match what's in the admin bar. I'd say it's an improvement worth making!
