Currently simplification is pinned to 0.5.22. I'm not sure I remember why this was necessary.
0.5.22 requires using Python <= 3.10, and forces jaeger to do the same. Not super critical right now, but it would be good to see if we can move to a 0.6.x version which allows Python 3.11.
