--supernode flag causes sync issues

Description

When --supernode flag is applied to a newly started node, it will not sync

Version

Latest stable version.

Present Behaviour

When the flag --supernode is applied to a new node. It will not sync. However after removing it, it quickly syncs. And after it syncs, applying this flag will have no issues.

Expected Behaviour

It should sync. Or at least show an error.

Please share some more details about your setup: hardware specs + network + other flags you're using.

Are you using checkpoint sync, syncing a node that has been offline for a while, or syncing from genesis?

It's a new PC with 32GB ram and 2TB Nvme ssd.

It's running on ethdocker. Doing checkpoint sync. Fresh node.

It uses the standard flags on ethdocker. "--supernode" was the only additional flag that I added.
