Thank you for your interest in contributing to SilentSilo ("the Project"), maintained by Software Hive S.R.L. ("the Maintainer").
This agreement clarifies the terms under which you contribute code, documentation, or other material to the Project. It exists so the Project can be maintained, defended and relicensed as one work; without it, every future licensing decision would require tracking down every past contributor. It is a license from you, not a transfer: you keep the copyright to your contribution and remain free to use it anywhere else.
By opening a pull request against this repository, or otherwise submitting a contribution, you accept the following terms for that contribution and all future ones, unless you state otherwise at the time of submission.
"Contribution" means any original work of authorship you intentionally submit for inclusion in the Project, in any form (code, documentation, translations, designs, specifications).
You grant the Maintainer a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute and sublicense your Contribution and derivative works of it, under any license terms, including but not limited to the Project's current license (AGPL-3.0-or-later) and any future open source, source-available or commercial license.
The Project's public releases will always remain available under a license approved as free/open by the OSI or FSF; this sentence states an intention of the Maintainer and is not a condition of the grant above.
You grant the Maintainer and recipients of software distributed by the Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated here) patent license to make, use, sell, offer to sell, import and otherwise transfer your Contribution, where such license applies only to patent claims you can license that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution alone or in combination with the Project. If any entity brings patent litigation alleging that the Project or a Contribution infringes a patent, any patent licenses granted by that entity under this agreement terminate as of the date the litigation is filed.
You represent that:
- each Contribution is your original creation, or you otherwise have the right to submit it under these terms;
- your Contribution does not knowingly include material subject to a third-party license or restriction unless you disclose it in the submission;
- if your employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you have its permission to submit the Contribution, or the employer has waived such rights.
You provide your Contribution "as is", without warranties of any kind. The Maintainer is under no obligation to accept or use any Contribution.
