What?

py-aep is a Python package for parsing After Effects .aep files, as well as a mirror of After Effects ExtendScript API. It is free and Open Source.

Why?

Reverse-engineering binary files takes a lot of time and effort. The development of new features, maintenance, bug fixing, testing, releases and documentation - all of this is done on nights and weekends.
