Documentation about the techniques being used and plan to add proactive techniques?

Hi Guys,

I am very interested to evaluate and use this service as part of our architecture.
Essentially I would like to know 2 things:

1. I am wondering if you have more documentation about how it works under the hood.
2. Is there any plan to add any proactive technique/strategy to auto-scale bigtable?
