Implementation map

This map records where the thesis contribution was integrated in the experimental MATE branch. It intentionally contains no source code or private repository URLs.

Trace ingestion and direct replay

Responsibility Experimental component
JSON event to primitive-action translation MotifActionParser
Replay-only genetic algorithm entry point JsonReplayAlgorithm
One- or multi-scenario replay factory JsonReplayChromosomeFactory
Instrumentation test entry point ExecuteMATEJsonReplay
Replay-aware widget resolution and coordinate fallback DeviceMgr and PrimitiveAction integration
Recording retrieval from host EnvironmentManager and the server recordings endpoint

Genetic-algorithm integration

Responsibility Experimental component
Per-generation trace-seeding quota SeedReplayFactory
Trace-segment repository SegmentRepositoryFactory
XML-derived lightweight screen state SegmentScreenState
Recorded event with before/after state SimpleSegment
Similarity-gated segment injection ReplayMutation
Factory and mutation selection GeneticAlgorithmProvider
Configuration surface Properties, chromosome-factory and mutation enums
Measurement consistency GA flow, MIO, MOSA, TestCase, and StatisticsCollector

Host-side experiment support

The host-side work added:

  • retrieval of the configured recording JSON path;
  • replay-specific UI dump collection;
  • experiment configuration generation for seed fractions, similarity thresholds, and replay probabilities; and
  • reporting fields for replay attempts and successful injections.

Why the complete branch is not mirrored

The experimental branch contains a long-running upstream history and work from multiple contributors, including unrelated framework development. Publishing a branch-level diff would therefore:

  • attribute unrelated changes to the thesis;
  • expose internal experiment artifacts and machine-specific configuration; and
  • make it difficult to distinguish the research contribution from the base framework.

This companion instead presents the contribution boundary, algorithms, and aggregate evidence. The public upstream project remains the authoritative source for MATE itself.
