edits not showing in markdown file

Am I supposed to do something special to make the edits show in the markdown file? I tried pressing enter, cmd+s to save, searching command pallete for table related things...

I discovered that if you right click on the table header, you can "insert table as {markdown,csv,...}" and then it will paste into the markdown file. Is that the only way?

Yes, that's currently the way it works. I agree that there should be a way to do it that's quicker and more discoverable.

Looking forward to seeing this feature, this is the best table editor I've found so far, the only one that supports multiline and I will continue to use it because of that

the Gitlab WYSIWYG editor currently satisfies my need for complex tables, but that's only useful in pull requests, issues, and wikis, and it uses HTML. It only tricks me into thinking I'm using markdown.
