Subscribe without double opt-in

Is there an option to subscribe users without sending the double opt-in confirmation?

Hey Andy -- not sure what you mean? All this does is synchronize the user accounts -- it doesn't handle any actual mailchimp subscriptions.

If the user isn't subscribed it sends them "Click here to subscribe" email. I actually want to use it to subscribe users. So need doubleoptin=no if possible?

Oh -- that should never happen as the API I'm using to do the subscriptions is just updating existing entries and not double subscribing, eg: https://github.com/rdegges/stormpath-mailchimp/blob/master/bin/stormpath-mailchimp#L62

The update_existing only applies if the user is already subscribed. If they aren't then it subscribes them.

Was hoping you could add double_optin: false but can most likely do that myself now I see where it goes :)

Was this issue ever addressed? Or did you simply fork and add a manual double_optin: false flag, @andygambles?

Not sure as we implemented an alternative solution to add users when they sign-up @worthbak
