Sunnah.com is making it almost impossibly hard for brothers to obtain tokens. We want to do something about it! #2861

First thing I want to thank allah that there are a bunch of ambitious brother's wanting to create something new for the ummah and make it easier than ever to access verified resources of the hadith and quran.
Unfortunately, as we see api access requests are piling up from YEARS and I don't think sunnah.com wille provide anything in the near feature for brothers that asked for tokens. In this way sunnah.com unfortunately is kind of making it harder for developers to create something for the benefit of the our ummah (that we are all responsible for).
I want to make the point that such an use of an api should be easy and free of charge and easy to abtain a token for, we muslims should make it easy to develop and create such applications; an easy to get api is curcial really for developing anything for the ummah.
Therefor I have two suggestions:
- Sunnah.com publishes their verified databse of the hadith in GitHub for the rest of us to access and wrap our own api's around it. In this way, sunnah.com won't deal with hosting costs and maintenance.
- Us creating an alternative Api free of charge for the ummah, where an token is obtained easily with almost no limitations for the developer. I would like hearing back from you brothers whether this options suites you well, if so I will begin as soon as possible to deliver a free to use api for the all of the ummah to make use of.
Most brothers of us want somthing simple to use in their case and don't want to be limited, so please if option 2 suites you well make sure you like this issue post and comment that it's in your favour.
