Analysis:
Good news — the backend already supports restaurant search! The API has a GET /api/restaurants/search?query= endpoint that searches by restaurant name, cuisine type, and description. There is also a GET /api/restaurants/cuisine/{cuisineType} endpoint for filtering by cuisine.

However, the frontend does not currently expose a search bar on the restaurants page (HomePage.tsx). The feature request is valid — a search/filter UI component needs to be added to the frontend to connect to the existing API.

Suggested implementation:

1. Add a search input field (Material-UI TextField) to the HomePage component.
2. Wire it to call GET /api/restaurants/search?query={searchTerm} with debounced input.
3. Optionally add cuisine type filter chips using the existing cuisine endpoint.
