What the new capability is:
An ability to start & end tracking time on tasks
How important this is to me and why
Importance: Low
Use cases:
Legal research to track billables
Tradesmen clocking onto jobs to track time spent
Track performance of personell
Additional context/similar features
Job management systems such as ServiceM8, Tradify, Simpro and similar have the ability to clock on to a job or task to track time spent.
Any examples of good implementations of this capability.
Potentially a variant of a standard comment which implements 2 new buttons & a start/finish UTC time stamp.
This allows for details of work completed to be attached along with the amount of time spent.
Ideally it would be nice to have an hourly rate in the back end that could calculate client costings automatically, but that is probably out of scope.
