A new update soon?

The download files are from 2019. I was wondering if an update is comming anytime soon.

I'm not a developer on this project and I don't know anything about it outside of this repo, but it seems like development has stopped. No new code has been committed for about 6 years, so it seems unlikely to me that there's a plan for a new release.

OK, so use the build from 2019. You said you have no issues. Why not use software which works just fine?

So far, We have not seen any virtual CD-ROM drive that can mount the chd v5 image format.
For chd support, there is libchdrthat can be achieved
really hope that there will be an open source virtual CD-ROM that can add chd support

This should be a separate issue, unrelated to the updates.

PS. If you are fine with using Linux and interface of the cdemu feels OK, you could try contributing to this issue, where the CHD support is being already proposed to libmirage: cdemu/cdemu#16

so what? if it still works fine on latest windows why do you need an update? Quality software is not that that gets constantly updates but that that was once good and right and only needs update when another feature is required or something makes it incompatible ;)

so as long as ms dont change there driver interface or sth else in a new comming windows version or there is a mayor new image format to support all is fine i guess ...

One of the biggest issues with WinCDEmu is that it has been lacking support for "mixed" CD images that contain audio tracks as well as data tracks, since forever. Now that active development has pretty much ceased the hopes of seeing it implemented are pretty low sadly.
