Would it be possible to add a bottoms version to the catwalks

As the title says, I had some ideas for building with industrial iron, but my hopes were dashed when I saw that I can't place catwalks on the bottom part of a block like a trapdoor. This makes them look like they're floating in the air when placed on top of a girder. I hope this wouldn't be too complicated to fix
